As root:

Edit /root/.vnetrc and fill in values appropriatly

Edit /etc/resolv.conf and fill in appropriatly aswell:

search
nameserver <DNS address of ISP> 

Modprobe the driver

   > modprobe <driver name> 

Set the IP, I do the following (I don't use DHCP)

   > ifconfig eth1 up 192.168.1.10

Run the script

   > /bin/fastvnet.sh

Add the gateway 
 
   > route add default gw <IP of router>

Works for me.
