how to configure it

i am using suse 9 professional, and i installed the
atmel
           wlan usb driver. the compile part was good,
and the
           installation part was good, but now i dun
know what to do.
           i read the tutorial serveral times but
still can't figure
           out. iam not connected to internet, and
when i type in
           iwconfig i can only device for eth1. the
rest such as eth0
           says no wireless extension detected. wlan0
is not even in
           the list. so what do i do now? what steps
do i take to get
           my internet connected? i have no idea. i
tried unplugging
           and replugging my wireless adaptor into the
usb socket, but
           i only hear a beep from suse 9, and nothing
else. still no
           internet. the wireless router i am using is belkin
