how to start a new driver for a usb network adapter

Hello,

My usb network adapter is Linksys wusb11 V4. It uses
the chip ALI M4301 instead of AT76C503 for wusb11
v2.6.=20

I like to port the atmel driver for this device. Could
anyone give me some hint for how to do that?=20
