Hi Saw Robert Franks post from Tue Jul 12 21:12:31 CEST 2005. I experience the same problem on the latest kernels. Roberts output from tcpdump is similar to mine: 1:06:52.322566 arp who-has bla-wlan tell blubb-wlan 21:06:53.322229 arp who-has bla-wlan tell blubb-wlan 21:06:54.321914 arp who-has bla-wlan tell blubb-wlan Seems like one way traffic.. Im running a DHCP server on the box and all I pick up with tcpdump is the DHCP discovery request, the DHCPOFFER never gets to the client. Looks to me like its unable to send data. I get this problem when I try to use the at76c503a driver on a kernel > 2.6.8.1. On my slackware box I've been running Linux 2.6.8.1 for a while with no problems. Now I have installed Gentoo Linux 2005.0 with Linux 2.6.12 (gentoo sources, not vanilla). I don't think the problem lies with the Gentoosources as I remember having similar issues under Slackware with the latest vanilla source. I tried installing kernel 2.6.8.1 on gentoo and everything worked fine. Sorry if this is a known problem, I have not been able to find any fixes. Would be great to se the driver working with the latest kernels. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards Stian Halseth
