Hello, I recently installed Slackware 9 and was disappointed to encounter numerous problems getting networking to work with the eepro100. After visiting this list and building/installing the latest driver against the stock kernel I was able to get things working. The new driver is very helpful in that it points out problems like the dreaded "sleep mode". The Linux 2.4.20 kernel appears to have a version of the eepro100 driver from 1999, which probably leads to many support issues like mine. I'm curious if there is any effort to merge the newer driver into the main kernel tree and avoid some of these problems going forward? Thanks for the great drivers and support!
