Hi,

we face the same problem here with a linux box having two integrated
82557 onboard... First we get a lot of "eth1: card reports no
resources." and then we can find such funny things as:

recvmsg bug: copied E647B877 seq E647BE1F
kernel: KERNEL: assertion (tp->copied_seq == tp->rcv_nxt ||
(flags&(MSG_PEEK|MSG_TRUNC))) failed at tcp.c(1520)

And

KERNEL: assertion (flags&MSG_PEEK) failed at tcp.c(1463)

We have a 2.4.18 kernel running.

as anybody an idea whats wrong... Can it be solved by using an other
driver (or netcark card)?

Thanks very much.

Greetings, Jan Suchanek
