Hi, Is it known whether the Pro/100 PCI card (or at least the version in Dell Inspiron 8000 laptops) has a problem autonegotiating with the Linksys BEFSR41 (wired) router? I've found (both in Windows & Linux with eepro100) that if the card is allowed to autonegotiate it *appears* to negotiate 100/full duplex successfully, but there seems to be a duplex-mismatch (many packet collisons, etc.). If the card is forced to half duplex then a successful connection results - again both in Windows & Linux. The card autonegotiates correctly directly with my (cable) modem and other NICs (in other PC's on the LAN) autonegotiate ok with the BEFSR41. Cabling & router LAN ports all check out ok. Lionel
