Hi, I had a PSC 1210 up and running on my linux box (2.4.22) with everything working perfectly (Cups - Sane). I could print and scan (though I had to restart the PSC after scanning to get the printer to work again.) I then had to get rid of the 1210 and so replaced it with a 1210v. I plugged in the 1210v and printing "just worked". However, scanning no longer works. (xsane could not find a device). I ran ptal-init setup and was presented with a default of the old 1210 and so deleted it. It now doesn't find anything when scanning the usb port. When I run sane-find-scanner it tells me that it may have found a scanner under libusb:00x:00y which tells me that libusb is recognizing a scanner but doesn't know what to do with it. What is different about the PSC 1210 versus the PSC 1210v and where should I look to get the scanner up and running? Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: YOU BE THE JUDGE.
