I think I got it all below.  It appears the /var/log/cups/error_log continues 
to write all the time.  In order to make it usable, I typed in lp -s dpsc1210 
kfc2.jpg and waited until the clock turned over to 18:09 and hit "enter" .  
Then I copied only one minute of error_log.

The hplip toobox errors out as I have version 3.5 of PyQt and toolbox requires 
version 3.8.  Actually, it locks up after complaining about the version of 
PyQt.
