hlip_probe does not work on debian ?

	I cannot get hplip_probe to work on my debian (unstable kernel
2.6.7 or 2.6.9) to detect net printers, no network packet seems to be
emmitted. However, I know the IP addresses of the printers, is there a
way I can probe a specific address to get the url to put in cups ?
