How to get HP PSC2355 printer + scanner to work?

FC4 detects the printer. The scanner is working fine. But the printer 
stops printing after the 1st line. It gives me the following error message:
I got some more information. These are messages the system generates whn 
the test page is printed.

I re-installed FC4 and the printer works fine, but when running 
ptal-init setup happens what is described above, the scanner works ad 
the printer fails.

Any ideas?
