ipw2200 with avahi/zeroconf

Hello,

I have been trying to get avahi, the lgpl version of apple's zeroconf, to
work over my laptop's intel ipw2200 wireless connection. So far I have
been partially successful. When I do a clean boot everything works fine.
I can connect to the shared music on my network no problem. The problems
start when I try to suspend or hibernate. After resuming from the suspend
the avahi auto detection stops working across the wireless network. If I
open an avahi service on my laptop, that gets detected so I know the avahi
daemon isn't dead.

I think its the ipw2200 that is the culprit because if I then plug my
laptop into the router directly, the avahi autodetection works. I can
again connect to my music. I then disconnect the wireline connection, it
goes back the wireless and my avahi stuff disappears. The only way to get
it working again over the wireless interface is to reboot.

Has anyone seen this before? have any suggestions? a way to debug this?

My system info:

ubuntu 6.06 dapper, not exactly sure which version of ipw2200 is included.

By default ubuntu unloads the ipw2200 on suspend/hibernate. I have tried
to whitelist the module so it does't get unloaded but the behavior is the
same.

Thanks
