I had an Australian vendor sell me a IPW2915 with the GEO code for
what I think was China. Ended up with only 4 A channels, and guess what
the local AP was set to.

Managed to get it swapped for one with the right GEO code, but in the
process we discovered the distributer had 100's of these cards with the
wrong region. Dunno how many they sold to people who haven't noticed
most of their 'A' channels are missing.

I assume said distributer was 'grey market' importing and bought their
cards directly in Asia somewhere. In theory end users are not supposed
to be replacing their radios anyway, doing so invalidates the type
approvial for the laptop in Australia.
