Hw address does change, i've always seen that behaviour and i consider 
it normal.
Your ifconfig binary is too old and doesn't support your link mode (raw, 
rtap, or whatever).
Apart from those nags, why do you say it doesn't work?

I don't know much about pci-irq, but i'd say it looks normal too.
