Re: No led

Hi!

I would not say there is a regression between 2.6.15.27 and 2.6.15.26. When 
the led stopped waking up, I used the same ipw2200 driver. It's just as soon 
as I noticed that the led remained off that I decided to remove the driver 
provided by the kubuntu distribution to the latest stable, i.e. 1.2.0 but 
this didn't solve my problem.

I issued the command modprobe ipw2200 led=1 without success. But there may be 
an issue. As Stefan Schmidt suggests it there may be something about the 
BIOS setting. I remember that I updated my BIOS at that time. I had a look at 
my BIOS and the wireless card is enabled. So this should work shouldn't it?

I will recompile and reinstall the 1.2.0 driver and hope to give you good 
news. This will not be before next week as I don't have much time now.

To reply to some of you my car is :
Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG (rev 05)

It's not an IBM card but looks like an Intel. I think all Thinkpads were 
delivered with this model when I bougt mine. Now I don't know about the new 
Levono brand.

Another thing I noticed in the file :
/sys/bus/pci/drivers/ipw2200/0000\:02\:02.0/led

There is "0". I changed it to "1" but it didn't changed anything and switched 
to 0 after reboot. This may be a clue.

Thanks again for your help. I will give you more news when I reinstall it and 
will keep a log of any potential warnings or errors during compilation.
