Firmware restarts in 2.6.21-rc1 but hwcrypto=0 ?

How does this happen? This is the "stock" driver that comes with the 2.6.21-rc1
kernel (ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.2.0km)
