There is a module parameter "antenna" to do this. Modinfo ipw2200 for more info.

Thanks,

Subject: [Ipw2100-devel] ipw2200 in Thinkpad X30 - one or two antennas

Hi all!

I just added a Intel 2200bg MiniPCI card to my good old IBM Thinkpad
X30 running 2.6.17, driver 1.2.1 and firmware 3.0.
As I didn't already have built-in wifi antennas, I added one "main"
antenna and placed it somewhere under the keyboard. Reception quality
is okay, but I think it would be better with two antennas, so I
already ordered another one.
Will ipw2200 automatically use the second antenna or do I need to
change something?

Thanks!
Dominik
