Hi,

My laptop has ipw2200 driver with version 1.0.10 which comes with suse 10.1 distribution. I want to use the following versions in my laptop. So I installed the following versions.
1) kernel version 2.6.16.
2) ipw2200 version 1.2.2.
3) ieee80211 subsystem version 1.2.18.
4) Firmware version 3.0.

I followed the INSTALL manual and successfully installed. After doing "modprobe ipw2200", the device(eth1) is showing its association with near-by access point. Upto this it is fine. But the moment I bring the interface up using "ifconfig eth1 up", my system hangs. This is happening every time I bring the interface up.

Please help me solving this problem.

thanks in advance,
Jagadish
