Hi Andrew, If I remember correctly, a patch was applied that would "power save" a wireless card. The 2100bg/2200bg/39xx cards were waking up too often, via interrupt. Then, power on the card, poll for activity, i.e. network detection, ssid name or roam activity and then end the code. I believe that this was a patch to kernel 2.6.22+ and greater. Please don't take this as gospel but I remember seeing an article for power saving under LINUX attached devices. Regards, Jack T.
