Hi,

I have some problems with the ipw2200 driver and a 2915ABG card. When
the card it associated to an access point and then initiating a scan, it
always fails (passive and active scans). I enabled debug and saw that
the driver aborts the scanning.

ipw2200: U ipw_wx_set_scan Start scan
ipw2200: I ipw_handle_missed_beacon Aborting scan with missed beacon.

I remember that I could scan while having been associated to an access
point with some earlier kernels. I don't know what changed. Can someone
enlighten me. I am currently using a plain vanilla 2.6.24-rc6 kernel.

Even in case the scan request is aborted, I think we have to send a
"Scan request completed" wireless event. Otherwise the userspace will
never know what happened. Maybe we need to extend this event with some
flags that indicate that the scanning failed.

Regards

Marcel
