Re: Dell Latitude D600: no device detected by hsf driver

Hi,

the problem is that you have the 'snd_intel8x0m' module loaded into your 
kernel. Normally, the 'hsfconfig' script should warn you that this 
module is in the kernel and then disables the 'snd_intel8x0m' module. 
Unfortunately, these features are broken on Fedora Core 3 and they will 
be fixed in the next release of the driver.

In the meantime, to fix the problem, please manually add the line

---
install snd_intel8x0m /bin/true
---

to your '/etc/modprobe.conf' file and then reboot your machine.
