Hi,

I've a HD Audio codec softmodem from Conexant in my laptop. I suspect
the chipset is:
CX11254-51Z - http://www.conexant.com/products/entry.jsp?id=925
I can't open the laptop to confirm because it would void the warranty.

The following information can be obtained for the modem:

# lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6
Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

# cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#1
Codec: Generic 14f1 ID 2bfa
Address: 1
Vendor Id: 0x14f12bfa
Subsystem Id: 0x1025008f
Revision Id: 0x90000

(codec#0 is the sound codec and codec#1 is the modem codec)

hsfconfig gives the following:
ERROR: no device detected by hsf driver

Perhaps Linuxant drivers only support the Conexant PCI and AC'97
modems. Many laptops are now coming with the HD Audio codec Conexant
modem, so do you plan to support it?

Would Conexant provide datasheets / information / codec documentation
for porting this modem, so I could try beginning to port it? How do
you get the information for developing your Linuxant modem drivers?

Thanks,
Paulo Matias
