Hi, we are aware that in some cases with HDA modem and a audio device that installing the HSF driver will disable the sound device. The only way to solve the problem is to uninstall the HSF driver with the 'hsfconfig --uninstall' command in a root shell and reboot the machine. We are currently working on this problem and it's possible that a patch to solve this issue will be made available soon on the driver patch page or a new version of the driver will be released with this know issue fixed.
