Last month I posted about interrupt confusion on my laptop when I insert/remove my WG511 card. Since then I have found (w/ Dave Hinds' help) that the root issue appears to be the BIOS on my HP/COMPAQ Presario 2140US laptop. There are BIOS upgrades available, but only for Windows boxes (comes w/ DLLs & other hooks into Windows & no apparent way to upgrade the BIOS directly.) I finally got the following in an email from HP/COMPAQ: "The Presario product line was developed for home users utilizing Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, and Windows XP Home operating systems. HP does not recommend the installation of other operating system in the Presario." My strong recommendation is to NOT try to use the WG511 with the Prism54 driver on a COMPAQ Presario 2140US machine, & probably not on any Presario 2100 series machine at all, unless you are willing to operate in a dual-boot mode. -- Jim Coker
