Hi, I have been trying to get my RealTek 8139 card work in Redhat linux 8.0. but without success. My linux kernel version is 2.4.18-14 I had 8139too.o in the /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/ directory. When I did insmod 8139too I got the following message. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_ethtool_gset_Raeb9c2b4 /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_nway_restart_R9d437993 /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_link_ok_R633bd7b9 /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/8139too.o: unresolved symbol mii_ethtool_sset_Rc366593c ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Dmesg gave me the following ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dmesg Linux version 2.4.18-14 ([email protected]) (gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)) #1 Wed Sep 4 13:35:50 EDT 2002 BIOS-provided physical RAM map: BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 00000000000a0000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 00000000000f0000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 0000000007f00000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 00000000ffb00000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) 0MB HIGHMEM available. 127MB LOWMEM available.
