I also have a webcam with the same USB ID, although the dmesg is a little
different:

Maybe you can try the mplayer line that works with me, after plugging in
your webcam:

mplayer -cache 128 -tv
driver=v4l2:width=640:height=480:norm=PAL:outfmt=i420:device=/dev/video0
-fps 20 -vo x11 -vc rawi420 tv://
