I have installed the latest tulip drivers on my RedHat 7.2 machine. It mostly seems to work, and I have been able to download through http and ftp. Around 30% of the time a download will freeze up at the sample byte every time, however. I have tried getting files that failed from different servers, but it doesn't help. I have been able to get files to download that wouldn't by changing the file in some way (i.e. compressing it). This leads me to believe a certain bit sequence in a file is causing the failure. I also dual boot to windows and have not had this problem so I am reasonably sure it is not a hardware issue. Could this be a driver issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. ===== --------------------------------- The Dude abides. I don't know about you but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' he's out there. The Dude.
