OK, this I can work with. The first transceiver is reporting no link beat. The rest are report valid link beat. Does the board claim to support HomePNA "HPNA"? (Some ADMtek chips do.) What does 'tulip-diag -aaemmf' report after trying to send a few packets with this driver? > ------------------------------------ > but after that, i get the usual ifconfig output with 0 TX packets > ----------------------------------------- > eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:90:96:2A:19:FB > RX packets:136 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 > TX packets:0 errors:142 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:284 This usually means that the chip has the wrong transceiver selected. -- Donald Becker [email protected] Scyld Computing Corporation http://www.scyld.com 410 Severn Ave. Suite 210 Scyld Beowulf cluster system Annapolis MD 21403 410-990-9993 _______________________________________________ tulip-bug mailing list, [email protected] To change to digest mode or unsubscribe visit http://www.scyld.com/mailman/listinfo/tulip-bug
