The driver in the kernel derives from that source, but has been updated
to newer APIs and to fix obvious bugs.  It hasn't been reworked to fix
the structural problems.

I briefly tried to use the dmfe driver on a local server that had the
chip on the motherboard, but the bugs were too severe for the hour or
two that I spent on it.

You can use 'lspci -vn' or 'cat /proc/pci' to find this information.  (It
is, based on your previous report.)

Delete the dmfe driver and add another $10 PCI NIC.
