Hello, I am trying to track down a 21143/tulip bug where the activity LED will stay "ON" all the time. I have found a snippet on the web somewhere that claims this prolem was solved by the tulip driver between versions 0.89h and 0.91. I have been digging through the mailing list archive and it seems the move from 0.89h to 0.91 was made sometime in late 1998! I am wondering if someone can point me to places where I can download old versions of tulip.c so I can diff them and see what solved this particular problem. I am a newbie on this forum, so I appologize if my inquiry here is off-topic or inappropriate for the list. Background info: I'm seeing a the activity LED constantly "ON" problem on a system with a 21143 connected to MicroLinear's ML6698CH PHY. The PHY has no MII, so the 21143 is driving it in SYM mode. When the activity LED is constantly lid, the 21143 will NOT receive any packet but can send packet just fine. (In my setup, I have two 21143 interfaces directly connected with a cross-over cable, both using SYM to interface to their respective ML6698 PHYs. So they always come up in 100Mb/s Full-Duplex mode.) Thanks in advance. Bob _______________________________________________ tulip mailing list, [email protected] To change to digest mode or unsubscribe visit http://www.scyld.com/mailman/listinfo/tulip
