What driver version are you using, and what is the detection message?

Is after you have tried to send packets?

This looks normal.  Specifically, there is not packet waiting to be
transmitted, and interrupts appear to be working.

It works in many cases where the in-kernel version does not, although this
is not obviously be one of them.
