I have problem with 3Com 905B cards (I tried to change but this do not
solve the problem).
Vendor: 10B7
DeviceID: 9055
I have the same card at home (with a cross cable) and work as expected
(100 full duplex).
In my firm we have a network with CISCO equipment (Catalyst 6500), the
port is configured (fixed) at 100 full duplex. However under Linux this
configuration seem not work. I tried RH9 kernel (2.4.20-20.9) and
vanilla (2.4.22) without success. If I load module without configuration
system is unable to fetch dhcp data. Sometimes unloading, reloading
module and starting network with "ipup eth0" eth0 initialize, catch
address but connection is very slow (55KB/s with a FTP download).
Configuring module with "options=0x204" the system is unable to
initialize (it never get information from dhcp). With Windows I never
had had problems. I tried compile your driver from website but it fails.
Tried with 3com drivers but I have the same problem (it do not
initialize)...
So I'm unable to use this card under Linux...

bye
