It's been a long time since we have had 10base2 questions!

Please confirm that
    You intended to use the 10base2 transceiver
    You have a BNC 'T' connector attached directly to the NIC card, not
      a cable
    The cable is marked as 50ohm
    Each end of the cable has a 50 ohm terminator
