I am attempting to get my system to boot from the hard drive and am
having no luck. At the moment it attempts to boot over the net (there
is a setup for it to do this but I would like to stop using it).
Changing the CMOS does nothing. I was told to press Esc during bootup
which does indeed bring up a menu with four options in it. However,
whichever one I choose it still boots off the network. I then read
http://support.3com.com/infodeli/tools/nic/3c905c/905cuser.pdf pages
61-63 which seems to claim I need windows to disable net booting (by
running NIC doctor).

Is there any way to do this in linux?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Raphael
