I am attempting to get my system to boot from the hard drive and am having no luck. At the moment it attempts to boot over the net (there is a setup for it to do this but I would like to stop using it). Changing the CMOS does nothing. I was told to press Esc during bootup which does indeed bring up a menu with four options in it. However, whichever one I choose it still boots off the network. I then read http://support.3com.com/infodeli/tools/nic/3c905c/905cuser.pdf pages 61-63 which seems to claim I need windows to disable net booting (by running NIC doctor). Is there any way to do this in linux? Any help is very much appreciated. Raphael P.S. Please CC me in any reply. _______________________________________________ vortex mailing list [email protected] http://www.scyld.com/mailman/listinfo/vortex
