If it were at least as capable as current soho 802.11g routers/aps, was
as easy to install linux on as a soekris or openbrick, and cost $100, I'm
sure there would be a market for it.

in fact, i'm sure any easily installable platform sold complete for $100 
would be well recieved.  by complete I mean board, case, power supply, &
wifi card.  

if it cost $200, i'd wonder why not just go with a higher end platform.
