Sounds like you also want a sort of "body-in-white" (car manufacturers
will sell cars in incomplete form for special apps like RV's or
ambulances.) so that you could load your own firmware and cost
effectively deploy your own waps?

Soekris is fine for hacking and fun but if you wanted to deploy many
for a specific purpose after you add a WiFi card, power supply, box,
etc you might as well have started with a hi-end wap that already has
the features you require.
