I hope this feature will be implemented someday.
Expanding reiserfs filesystems with evms in remote machines is very 
simple and useful but with ext3 it's very hard and also dangerous if, 
for example, I want to expand /var I must unmount it and is better to do 
in single mode.
With a remote machine it is impossible.
