Hey Bhanu,

 Well, it looks like the /dev/evms/myvol1 is created on /dev/sda5.
This would mean that to activate the volume /dev/evms/myvol1
/dev/sda5 should not be mounted. Try creating a volume on
an unmounted disk 'sdb' maybe and post your output.
Where is your root filesystem ?
