Hello, the bug with disappearing default acls that several people have reported and that Jochen managed to find a reproducable test case for may be the same bug that went into the 2.6 mainline tree about a week ago. I had assumed that this bug didn't trigger under 2.4, especially since the symptoms we saw under 2.6 were never reported for 2.4. Anyway, I decided to update the 2.4 patch set to 2.4.29. Neither Jochen nor I can reproduce Jochen's bug with the latest 2.6 (from BK + patches), so I'm interested in getting test results from 2.4.29. You can find my current work-in-progress patch set at http://acl.bestbits.at/testing/split-2.4.29.tar.gz. The patches compile, but I didn't run a single test so far. I'll continue tomorrow. For reference, here are the references to the two xattr issues that were fixed recently in 2.6: http://linux.bkbits.net:8080/linux-2.6/cset@41e9a8dde680BhQtidQ5PNNkGXHKMQ?nav=index.html|ChangeSet@-2w http://linux.bkbits.net:8080/linux-2.6/gnupatch@41e9a8f0Edv-Sre5SwX-VaZJVvOVxw Regards, -- Andreas Gruenbacher <[email protected]> SUSE Labs, SUSE LINUX GMBH _______________________________________________ acl-devel mailing list [email protected] http://acl.bestbits.at/mailman/listinfo/acl-devel
