I read that about six times and did not see it, thank you
for pointing it out.

using the group bits for ACL_MASK is a somewhat bizarre
change from ordinary permissions...I take it the reason for
this is because the mask is deemed more useful / common to
want to see in an ordinary `ls' output without having to
invoke `getfacl' ?
