[001] - Apache2GDL 1.1
by Schwalex (http://freshmeat.net/users/Schwalex/)

Internet :: Log Analysis
Internet :: WWW/HTTP
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Site Management
About: Apache2GDL is a Perl script that parses an Apache log file and
generates a directed graph of visitors' movement in GDL format for
visualization with aiSee. It also allows you to pipe the graph directly
through aiSee and get a mapped SVG or PNG image of the layout. The
generated images help you find out how people actually browse your site --
which paths they take to get from page A to page B, which paths are more
popular than others, which pages get the most hits, and whether there are
one-way paths and dead-end pages.
Changes: Edges are now (optionally) labeled with the number of visitors
that have followed them. Some minor bugs have been fixed. The list of
search engine bots has beed updated.

[002] - AqBanking 1.3.0beta
by aquamaniac (http://freshmeat.net/users/aquamaniac/)
Thu, Aug 11th 2005 07:58
Office/Business :: Financial
Software Development :: Libraries
About: AqBanking is a modular and generic interface to online banking
tasks, financial file formats (import/export) and bank/country/currency
information. It provides frontends for Qt, KDE, GTK, and console.
AqBanking uses backend plugins to actually perform the online tasks. HBCI,
OFX Direct Connect, and DTAUS discs are currently supported. AqBanking is
used by GnuCash, KMyMoney, and QBankManager.
Changes: This release now includes all backends (AqHBCI, AqDTAUS,
AqGeldKarte, AqOfxConnect), all frontends (console, GTK2, Qt3, KDE3), and
all Qt3 setup wizards for all backends. AqHBCI now uses Gwenhywfar's
CryptToken plugins instead of its own media plugins. "aqhbci-tool" can be
used to setup a new user from the console. An ERI importer plugin has been
added. Some important bugs have been fixed. Code duplication has been
replaced by the new Qt3 frontend. The media plugins for AqHBCI (DDVCard,
RSACard) are now obsoleted by the latest versions of AqBanking, Gwen, and
Libchipcard2.

System :: Networking
About: BongoSurfer is a least-cost router for Linux, like the Smartsurfer
program for Windows. It allows you to connect to the Internet with a 56k
modem or ISDN, and chooses the cheapest provider for you. The tariff
database is updated every day from http://www.billiger-surfen.de/. Since
the tariffs only apply within Germany, the program is of little use in
other countries. It features a cost calculator, a traffic monitor, an
online timer, and more.
Changes: This release is available as an RPM package. There are many
bugfixes and a few new functions.

Internet :: WWW/HTTP
Security
About: Burp intruder is a tool that facilitates automated attacks against
Web-enabled applications. It is highly configurable and can test for
common Web application vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, cross-site
scripting, buffer overflows, and directory traversal as well as performing
brute force attacks against authentication schemes, enumeration,
parameter manipulation, trawling for hidden content and functionality,
session token sequencing and session hijacking, data mining, concurrency
attacks, and application-layer denial-of-service attacks.
Changes: A regex-based search and highlight function has been added to all
text panes. Server HTML responses are now rendered as Web pages. Intruder
is now fully integrated with the other burp tools. Auto payload placement
now understands multipart content encoding. Preferences are now optionally
persistent across program launches. "HTTP 100 Continue" responses are now
correctly handled. All X509 certificates encountered are logged.

Internet
Internet :: WWW/HTTP
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Site Management
About: Burp spider is a tool for enumerating Web-enabled applications. It
uses various intelligent techniques to generate a comprehensive inventory
of an application's content and functionality. Key features include
parsers for HTML and JavaScript, presentation of findings in tree and
table formats, handling of HTML forms with automatic or user-guided form
submission, authentication to protected areas of the application using
supplied credentials, cookie processing, detection of custom "not found"
responses, fine-grained scope control, SSL support, identification of
dynamic "application" pages which use data parameters or are
session-dependent, and IDS evasion techniques.
Changes: This release can "passively" spider Web applications, with all
requests originating from the user's browser. A regex-based search and
highlight function was added to all text panes. Server HTML responses are
now rendered as Web pages. This release is fully integrated with the other
burp suite tools. The scope for a spidering session can be specified using
both URL regex and IP ranges. Preferences are optionally persistent across
program launches.

Multimedia :: Graphics :: Editors
Scientific/Engineering
Text Processing :: Markup :: TeX/LaTeX
About: cb2Bib is a tool for rapidly extracting unformatted bibliographic
references from email alerts, journal Web pages, and PDF files. It
facilitates the capture of single references from unformatted sources.
References are written in BibTeX. A PDF file with the article text, if
available, can be easily linked and renamed by dragging it onto the
cb2Bib window. Reference manager applications can later retrieve,
import, and display these BibTeX references.
Changes: Simultaneous editing of multiple BibTeX documents is now
possible. This slightly changed the behavior of the editor and "show main"
buttons. The reference extraction and BibTeX editor parts integrate better
now. There are some improvements on the menus, and a memory leak from the
editor has been removed.

[008] - ccbuild 1.2.0
by A. Bram Neijt (http://freshmeat.net/users/bmm/)
Thu, Aug 11th 2005 03:12
Software Development :: Build Tools
About: ccbuild is like a dynamic Makefile. ccbuild finds all programs in
the current directory (containing "int main") and builds them. For this,
it reads the C++ sources and looks at all local and global includes. All
C++ files surrounding local includes are considered objects for the main
program. The global includes lead to extra compiler arguments using a
configuration file. ccbuild splits these arguments for compilation and
linking, keeping the linking arguments back for later use. It should allow
development without any scripting and only simple reusable configuration.
Deployment and distribution should still be done with other tools. It can
create simple Makefiles, A-A-P files, and graph dependencies using DOT
(graphviz) graphs.
Changes: The program will now ignore include statements with only one
space between the "#" and "include". The A-A-P rule was rewritten and a
few bugs were fixed, including problems with the -C flag and the manual
page.

About: CwMtx is a library written in C++ that provides the matrix and
vector operations that are used extensively in engineering and science
problems. A special feature of this library is the quaternion class which
implements quaternion math. Quaternions are very useful for attitude
determination in 3D space because they do not suffer from singularities.
Furthermore, successive rotations and transformations of vectors can be
accomplished by simple quaternion multiplication. Attitude dynamics can be
expressed in a very compact form using quaternions
Changes: gcc 3.4 is more strict with template name resolution than
previous versions. Non-dependent names must be qualified, otherwise they
are considered undefined. The old naming convention for functions (start
with a capital letter) has been changed to fall in line with other

About: HTML Forms generation and validation is a PHP class that generates
HTML forms supporting keyboard navigation, many built-in validation types
on server and client sides, prevents security attacks by discarding
spoofed values, has multiple submit protection, outputs HTML for fields
displayed as fully accessible or in read-only mode, has field value
filtering based on regular expressions, and has automatic capitalization
of field text. It can be extended with custom input control plug-in
classes. Calendar date, CAPTCHA, and linked select plug-in controls are
available. The form output can be defined with templates using HTML with
embedded PHP or the Smarty template engine.
Changes: The class was fixed to make sure that the Javascript code for
client side validation is only generated when it is necessary and desired
by the developer. The year field of custom calendar date inputs now shows
as a select input in case the number of the years defined by the start and

problem was fixed in custom linked select inputs that use groups of options
with numeric values.

[026] - HTMLRox 1.2
by Paul Sherman (http://freshmeat.net/users/psherma1/)
Thu, Aug 11th 2005 00:59
Text Processing :: Markup :: HTML/XHTML
About: HTMLRox is a text-based HTML editor for users of ROX. It features
drag and drop image tags and links, spell-checking, ad conversion of
selected text to HTML markup that inserts line breaks and paragraphs,
replaces special characters, and makes fully-formed links out of HTTP and
FTP addresses. It also has shortcut keys for a few of the most common
tags. A launchy.xml file is included for use with View Source via the
Firefox LAUNCHY plugin.
Changes: A TABLE-ify command that generates HTML tables from tab-delimited
text was added. This means you can copy and paste a table from almost
anything, hit TABLE-ify, and have a nice, clean HTML table.

[027] - HyperLinked Text 0.1.1
by Phil Bordelon (http://freshmeat.net/users/ennien/)
Thu, Aug 11th 2005 19:39
Documentation
Information Management :: Document Repositories
About: HyperLinked Text (Hylt) is both a file format and a viewer for that
format. It uses (almost) flat text files to generate a Wiki-style database
of hyperlinked pages, without either the complex markup of HTML or the
esoteric database formats in which most Wikis store data. It is geared
towards users who desire a minimal interface between them and their data
or like to store their data in formats which can be meaningfully stored in
version control systems. It was developed originally to match both of those
goals, specifically for individuals writing fiction and wishing to track
inter-character and inter-location relationships.

stored data. The first tells how many visitors were seen in the last X
days. The other tells the delta between the first and most recent visits.

About: wxFontView is a simple font viewing utility. It uses wxPython to
display system fonts and allows the user to change the font size, color,
background color, font face, and the displayed text. It is handy to view
fonts and styles quickly, or to make "logo" graphics.
Changes: A "Save to File" button was integrated for turning the displayed
text into a graphics file for logos and similar purposes. Several UI
tweaks were made to the layout, confirmation dialogs, and graphics.
