[001] - aircrack 2.4
by Christophe Devine (http://freshmeat.net/users/devine10/)
Sat, Nov 12th 2005 12:57
Security
About: aircrack is a set of tools for auditing wireless networks. It
consists of: airodump (an 802.11 packet capture program), aireplay (an
802.11 packet injection program), aircrack (static WEP and WPA-PSK
cracking), and airdecap (decrypts WEP/WPA capture files).
Changes: This release improves airodump's interface, which now displays
the current channel, battery state, GPS coordinates, and Probe Requests
from wireless clients. Signal level reporting was added to the rt2500 and
rt2570 drivers. The deauth and ARP reinjection attacks in aireplay were
corrected to work more reliably. Tools for merging and converting .ivs
files were added.

[042] - tntdb 0.5.2
by Tommi Mäkitalo (http://freshmeat.net/users/tmaek/)
Sat, Nov 12th 2005 12:57
Database :: API
Software Development :: Libraries
About: Tntdb is a c++-class-library for database access. It implements a
database-independent layer, which loads the actual driver dynamically when
a connection is made. The classes use automatic resource management with
reference counts. Resources are freed when the classes go out of scope.
Error handling is done with exceptions (derived from std::exception).
There are STL-like iterators for result sets and rows, and also the cursor
is an STL-like iterator. It is written in standard C++ with Linux. Drivers
for PostgreSQL and MySQL are available.
Changes: Database drivers for MySQL and PostgreSQL are now optional at
configure time. So if you want to use only postgresql, you can run
configure with "--without-mysql", and you won't need to have mysql-headers
installed.
