About: check_logfiles is a plugin for Nagios which checks logfiles for
defined patterns. It is capable of detecting logfile rotation. If you tell
it how the rotated archives look, it will also examine these files. Unlike
check_logfiles, traditional logfile plugins were not aware of the gap
which could occur, so under some circumstances they ignored what had
happened between their checks. A configuration file is used to specify
where to search, what to search, and what to do if a matching line is
found.

allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least
squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic

About: htmlatex does on-the-fly rendering of LaTeX source to HTML
documents. htmlatex is a mod_python application that uses memcached to
reduce the massive overhead of repeatedly rendering the same equation. It
has an option to sanitize the LaTeX source, removing any potentially
dangerous code. It is fairly generous about the HTML and LaTeX it accepts.
LaTeX source code is typed directly into an HTML file. The file is left
unchanged, and the output is filtered, replacing raw source with images.
Changes: Refactoring has resulted in much more stable performance. Unusual
changes no longer require restarting memcached. A special MIME-type
(.htmlx) is no longer required. HTML pages without equations are passed
through. HTMLatex is verified to work on mod_python 3.2.8 with Python 2.4.
Matrices have their own div-class and only require element and row

environments are automatic, as are the surrounding brackets.

About: Klementine is a Java program for remote mail retrieval, filtering,

About: lesspipe.sh is an input filter for the pager less as described in
less's man page. The script runs under a ksh-compatible shell (ksh, bash,
zsh) and allows you to use less to view files with binary content,
compressed files, archives, and files contained in archives. Viewing files
by accessing a device file is implemented to some extent (DOS filesystems
and tar files). It supports many formats (both as plain and compressed
files using compress, gzip, bzip2, or zip). Syntax highlighting for many
languages is available through a helper script, "code2color".
Changes: lesspipe now includes support for viewing the contents of rar and
7-zip archives and to display an ASCII representation of the contents of
Openoffice documents. For images (PNG, GIF, JPEG, and other formats), the

About: OMake is a build system with a similar style and syntax to GNU make
but with many additional features, including support for large projects
spanning multiple directories, default configuration files simplifying the
standard compilation tasks, support for commands that produce several

using MD5 digests, portability, and built-in functions that provide the
most common features of programs like grep, sed, and awk. It also
provides active filesystem monitoring that restarts builds automatically
when source files are modified. A companion command interpreter that can

About: Open Metaheuristic (oMetah) is a library aimed at the conception of
metaheuristics (e.g. genetic algorithms, tabu search, simulated annealing,
ant colony algorithms, etc.). It is focused on the conception, testing,
and comparison of metaheuristic algorithms. It uses several communication
interfaces (network, python) to link the optimization algorithms to
problems. It is designed so that you can easily add your own problem or
algorithm or interface. Moreover, it comes with a complete set of scripts
to test your algorithms and produce reports (LaTeX, HTML) with many
graphics (PNG, PS).
Changes: In oMetahLab, a latex report template, an all-in-one histogram
plot for end optimums, a simple GUI for tests and stats, and a gaussian
kernel estimation of the end optimums distribution in the solution space
were added. Also, the plugins were renamed. In oMetah, clean exception
management is used, problems written in Python can be called with the
communication client, a network protocol that uses unix sockets was added,
and a silent mode was added.

OpenVZ Virtual Private servers (VPS). VPSs are isolated, secure

rebooted independently and have root access, users, IP addresses, memory,
processes, files, applications, system libraries, and configuration files.
OpenVZ is a subset of Virtuozzo.

About: SquidClamAV Redirector is a Squid helper script which adds virus
scanning for defined filename extensions. It has been tested with Python,
pyclamav, ClamAV, and Squid. Squid has to be configured to use
"redirect_program" and to either deny access to a URL defined in the SCAVR
configuration or to redirect to a remote Site which displays an error (and
some information). SCAVR handles the request as given from Squid,
downloads the URL, and scans it for known viruses. It rewrites the URL
from Squid to a blocked URL or an information page with information about
the scanning results.
Changes: This release uses threads to do even more requests. Some simple
third party trigger code has been inserted to enable blacklist/filters
like SquidGuard.

About: xjobs runs several jobs in parallel and limits the number of jobs
running at once so that every processor of the machine is busy, but not
overloaded. A batch of long-running processes invoked from the shell are
normally executed one after another, no matter how many processors are
available. xjobs allows batching those jobs while still keeping the
machine busy. The interface of xjobs is similar to that of xargs.
Changes: Prompt mode, argument collection mode, sequence points for
serializing dependent parallel parts, and support for commenting xjobs
scripts were added. The readability of the output was strongly enhanced.
