Information Management
About: AgileWiki is a Java-based wiki that provides a virtual wiki for
each registered user, complete with access control, versioning,
hierarchical structures, namespace management, and semantic relations,
qualifiers, and inferencing. This is a rich system that is also easy for
casual users to browse or add content. Prototypes for this system also
included an email client and server-to-server content sharing.
Changes: A problem where the rules command was applicable even when at the
InferenceRules Drawer was fixed. The back and forward commands should now
work as expected. Guests can now use the go command. The infoset command
now resolves references correctly.

About: baq is an artificial intelligence bouncing ball demo. It is a
spinoff of the game "Aq". It has a bunch of useful functions related to
AI, collision detection, buffered blitting, and more.

Communications :: Chat
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Dynamic Content :: Message Boards
About: CShout is a customizable shoutbox. It features emoticons, flooding
control, searching, a bad words filter, and more. It allows the admin to
remove unwanted shouts on the fly. Separate configuration files make
customization easy. It still runs well for those using browsers with no
Javascript/AJAX support.

[004] - Generic Eclipse Modeling System 2.0.5_01
by Jules White (http://freshmeat.net/users/juleswhite/)

Software Development :: Code Generators
About: The Generic Eclipse Modeling System (GEMS) is a MDD tool for
Eclipse that allows for the rapid development of visual modeling tools for
Eclipse based on EMF/GEF. Developers specify the rules for a domain
language using a metamodel and the tool generates a diagram editor plugin
that enforces the rules from the metamodel. Interpreters can then be
written to traverse the model and generate code, perform analyses, or
execute the model. The tool supports complex model analysis using Prolog;
Java, OCL, and Prolog constraints, remote model updating via CORBA,
applying CSS styles to models, model-to-model linking, exportable
templates, and more.
Changes: This release fixes several minor bugs discovered in the 2.0.5
release.

[005] - IRRToolSet 4.8.3
by imipak (http://freshmeat.net/users/imipak/)

Internet
System :: Networking
Utilities
About: IRRToolSet is a set of policy analysis tools, written in C++. It's
designed to run under UNIX, using Tcl/Tk for graphics. There are tools for
generating router configuration files, displaying and checking routes,
generating aggregations of networks, etc. This project was formerly known
as the Routing Arbiter ToolSet (RAToolset), and was maintained by ISI.
Changes: This release included a fix for invalid syntax assumptions to
support whois servers using RPSLng. Problems with handling AS route sets
were fixed along with an issue with handling mixed protocols in filters
and a failure to handle "selected source" queries. Missing tests were
added to the flex files. Cisco empty list support was fixed. The output of
JunOS route filters was optimized. Handling of the "ANY" keyword was fixed.
Man page omissions were corrected. IPv6 route set expression operators are
now handled correctly. NetBSD support was fixed. The code was cleaned up
to support the current GNU C++ compiler.

[006] - KAlarm 1.9.1beta (Development)
by David Jarvie (http://freshmeat.net/users/djar/)
Sat, Sep 30th 2006 23:46
Utilities
About: KAlarm lets you configure personal messages to be displayed,
commands to be executed, or emails to be sent, at scheduled times. It
allows you to choose the message font and color, how often to repeat,
whether to display an advance reminder, whether to speak the message or
play a sound when it is displayed, and whether to cancel the alarm if it
can't be triggered on time (e.g. if you are logged out at the time). As
well as using the graphical interface to configure alarms, you can use the
command line, and there is a DCOP interface for other applications.
Changes: The alarm edit dialog interface was improved. A user comment
feedback facility was added. New Farsi and Belarusian translations were
added. Other translations were improved.

Software Development :: Libraries
About: Libcddb is a library that implements the different protocols
(CDDBP, HTTP, and HTTP proxy) to access data on a CDDB server (e.g.
http://freedb.org). It tries to be as cross-platform as possible.
Changes: This release fixes submission of data to the server (now passing
the correct character set).

About: Metacity is a window manager for GNOME. It uses GTK+ 2 for drawing
window frames, meaning that it inherits colors, fonts, etc. from the GTK+
theme.
Changes: This is the GNOME 2.16 release.

[009] - QuteMol 0.3
by Paolo Cignoni (http://freshmeat.net/users/cignoni/)

Multimedia :: Graphics :: 3D Rendering
Multimedia :: Graphics :: Viewers
Scientific/Engineering :: Bioinformatics
About: QuteMol is an interactive, high-quality molecular visualization
system. QuteMol exploits the capabilites of current GPUs through OpenGL
shaders to offer an array of innovative visual effects. QuteMol
visualization techniques are aimed at improving clarity and an easier
understanding of the 3D shape and structure of large molecules or complex
proteins.
Changes: This release adds on-screen anti-aliasing (this improves visual
quality, especially when using thin borders), a faster (lower quality)
rendering option for slower computers, saving of snapshots as PNG with
transparent backgrounds (the saved images can have an alpha channel that
allows high-quality composition), and automatic resizing of textures (you
no longer have to manually adapt the size of the texture to cope with
global illumination on larger molecules).

[010] - Randomize Lines 0.2.5
by Arthur (http://freshmeat.net/users/tiearthur/)
Sat, Sep 30th 2006 03:43
Text Processing :: Filters
About: rl is a command-line tool that reads lines from an input file or
stdin, randomizes the lines and outputs a specified number of lines. It
does this with only a single pass over the input while trying to use as
little memory as possible.
Changes: This release adds a --line-number option to output the line
numbers from the input file and fixes the documentation (mainly spelling
errors).
