About: amforth is a distribution of Forth running on the AVR ATmega
microcontroller. Once put into flash, it needs only a serial connection to
the host computer. New words are compiled directly into flash, thus
extending the dictionary immediately. It is ans94 Forth oriented with some
minor exclusions and a few words from the extension word sets. It is
written in assembly language and Forth itself. The main development uses
ATmega8 and ATmega32 controllers; other ATmega controllers should work
with small adjustments.

Changes: Support for turnkey/autostart applications was added. Some bugs
were fixed.

About: Appctl is a framework for virtually any server software. It
provides a central script called "ctl" which allows you to start, stop,
restart, maintain, or query the current status of an application. It is
meant as a completely generic replacement for application-specific
startup/stop scripts. The project also supplies generic monitoring scripts
for clusters, which can dramatically decrease clustering costs.

Changes: This update adds some new features. It allows you to use
pre-/post-start/stop/status scripts. Additionally, the function names for
the "startup", "shutdown", and "status" shell function are now fully
configurable. This update adds the ability to define a PIDFILE variable.
If defined in a module environment file, it defines where the PID file is
written or read from. This is useful if an application has a hard-coded
PID path and cannot be reconfigured to use $PID_BASE/[module].pid.

About: arpalert uses ARP address monitoring to help prevent unauthorized
connections on the local network. If an illegal connection is detected, a
program or script is launched, which could be used to send an alert
message, for example.

Changes: Corrections were made in the man page. arpalert doesn't quit if
the leases file is not found at start, it just sends a notice. Variable
type was corrected. Alert identifiers were defined. A MAC address without
an IP address is now also put in the leases file.

About: ByteName is a tool that for each byte of the input prints a line
consisting of the byte offset, the byte in hex, octal, binary, and
decimal, and its description in a selected single-byte encoding. A command
line flag suppresses printing of lines corresponding to ASCII characters,
which is useful for locating stray non-ASCII codes. It can also generate a
chart for a specified encoding or, for a specified codepoint, generate
descriptions in all known encodings.

Changes: This release adds support for the Buckwalter transliteration of
Arabic and the Indian government PASCII encoding for languages written in
Perso-Arabic script.

of a defined network once every configured time interval and stores the
results in a MySQL database. This provides a snapshot of the ports a hosts
has open over time. A Web interface is provided for data mining.

Changes: This is a bugfix release. It is recommended for all users, but is
critical for users of Red Hat or Red Hat-based systems. In non Debian-based
distributions, cancerbero-sensor failed to start, presenting an error of,
"cancerbero-sensor: line 39: start-stop-daemon: command not found". It now
should work in all Red Hat-based distributions. Native daemon support was
added. Other minor improvements were made.

email and user data is stored in a database. You can create an unlimited

has storage drivers for PostgreSQL and MySQL, and it has authentication
drivers for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and LDAP.

Changes: Five bugs were fixed in the IMAP and POP3 daemons. Two security
enhancements were backported from the 2.2 series. One missing column was
added to the scripts for upgrading the database from the 1.2 series to the

nutrients can be sorted by clicking on the column header. You can research
foods on their contents for three differents nutrients.The canadian version
of the program has a French or English interface as well as a bilingual

About: mylvmbackup is a Perl script for quickly creating backups of a
MySQL server's data files. To perform a backup, mylvmbackup obtains a read
lock on all tables and flushes all server caches to disk, makes an LVM
snapshot of the volume containing the MySQL data directory, and unlocks
the tables again. The snapshot process takes only a small amount of time.
When it is done, the server can continue normal operations while the
actual file backup proceeds.

Changes: This release supports using an external configuration file
(/etc/mylvmbackup.conf). Syslog support has been added, and console
logging output has been improved. There are bugfixes and general code

files together into a single tape or disk archive, and can restore
individual files from the archive. It includes command line interfaces for
the "tar", "Sun-Tar", "cpio", "pax", and "gnutar" command-line syntax. It
includes a FIFO for speed, a pattern matcher, multi-volume support, the
ability to archive sparse files and ACLs, the ability to archive extended
file flags, automatic archive format detection, automatic byte order
recognition, automatic archive compression/decompression, remote archives,

backups. It includes the only known platform independent "rmt" server
program.

Changes: The basic "fat" star binary is now named "star" again. (It was
"star_fat" before.) "star x dir/" will no longer print "Pattern 'dir/' did
not match" although there was a match. All include files have been moved to
include/schily/. A new and enhanced libfind was added. Premature EOF is
correctly detected with CPIO archives. 4 GB (instead of 2 GB) is allowed
for CPIO asc/crc archives. star -u now removes a slash at the end of a
file/directory name before it compares pathnames. A sparse file bug
(introduced with 1.5a75) that created broken archives from compressed ZFS
was fixed.

program to automate the burning of archive and audio CDs, and the encoding
of MP3 and Ogg files. It finds the SHN or FLAC files in the current

txt file, finds the song names, and matches the songs to the available
files. If everything is correct, it outputs the text of a Makefile. The
targets of the makefile automate the various tasks that need to be done
with SHN and FLAC sets. For example, "make Ogg" will uncompress and then
encode all the files in the set to named and tagged Ogg Vorbis files.

Changes: When wodim is available, it is used instead of cdrecord.

About: Streams is an I/O library designed to eventually replace the
current I/O facilities based on using Handles. The main advantage is its
strong modular design using typeclasses. It consists of small independent
modules, each implementing one type of stream (file, memory buffer, pipe,

encoding, locking, etc.). 3rd-party librarie can easily add new stream
types and new common functionality. Other benefits of the new library
include support for streams functioning in any monad, Hugs and GHC

About: Vobcopy copies DVD .vob files to hard disk (thanks to libdvdread),
decrypting them on the way (if libdvdcss is installed) and merges them
into 2 GB files (or larger) with the name extracted from the DVD. It
checks for enough free space on the destination drive and compares the
copied size to the size on DVD (in case something went wrong during the
copying). It can also mirror a whole DVD video part and copy single files.

Changes: A small fix to the Makefile. This release will choose the right
DVD device from fstab, and read only as many blocks as there are actually
left. There is a partial fix for detection of full NFS files, and some
other small fixes.
