About: axTLS is a highly configurable client/server TLSv1 SSL library
designed for embedded platforms. It comes with a small HTTPS server and
additional test tools. It features a very small footprint, use of TLSv1
(an improvement on SSLv3), session resumption, AES128/AES256 (as well as
RC4), portability across many systems, variable RSA key sizes, a very
simple API, peer client/server verification, certificate chaining, session
renegotiation, highly configurable compile-time options, and interfaces for
C#, VB.NET, Java, and Perl. It also implements a Web server.

Changes: A Web server that is tightly integrated with the axTLS SSL
libraries was added. Some issues with packet sizes and fragmentation have
been fixed. Numerous minor feature enhancements were made, such as
mutexing on an SSL context. The API has not changed (although
ssl_version() has been added).

About: CUPS-PDF is a PDF writer backend for CUPS. It is designed to
produce PDF files in a heterogeneous network by providing a PDF printer on
the central fileserver. It will convert files printed to its queue in CUPS
to PDF and put them in a per-user-based directory structure. It can
execute post-processing scripts, e.g. to allow mailing the results to the
user.

Changes: In path names, DOS-style separators '\' are now also recognized
in addition to Unix-style '/'.

About: Daikon is an implementation of dynamic detection of likely
invariants. An invariant is a property (such as "x=2*y+5" or
"this.next.prev = this" or "myarray is sorted by <") that holds at a
certain point or points in a program. Invariants are often seen in assert
statements, documentation, and formal specifications. Invariants can be
useful in program understanding and a host of other applications. Daikon
runs a program, observes the values that the program computes, and then
reports properties that were true over the observed executions. It can
detect properties in Java, C, C++, Perl, and IOA programs, in spreadsheet
files, and in other data sources.

Changes: A new mode was added to Daikon that allows it to handle constants
more efficiently. Also, a new configuration option was added and one was
renamed.

About: Galcon is an awesome high-paced multi-player galactic
action-strategy game. In the game you send swarms of ships from planet to
planet to take over the galaxy. It's like arcade action Risk with planets!
Anyone can play, and it only takes 30 seconds to learn. Multi-player
network games support up to 12 players with teams, and 15 different single
player missions against 7 different computer players are provided.

Changes: Teams are now represented in game by coloring the aura
(atmosphere) of the planets the color of the team. This makes it much
easier to follow the action in team games. The /banlist and /adminlist
commands have been added, and the /admin and /ban commands have been
updated to work even when the user isn't signed onto the server. The game
now includes F4 to take a screenshot. By default, it saves the image to
your desktop, but you can change that in the options.

About: Genius is an arbitrary precision integer and multiple precision
floating point calculator. It includes its own programming language
similar in some aspects to C, bc, or Pascal. It can deal with rational
numbers and complex numbers. It has matrix support as well. It uses the
gmp library so it is very fast for calculations of large numbers. It has a
command line and a GNOME interface. The GNOME interface supports plotting
functions and 3D surfaces.

Changes: This release implements cubic and quartic formulas. There are UI
updates, minor fixes, and a few new functions.

About: genmpeg.pl is a Perl script that generates a simple MPEG-2 program
stream file, which consists of a single customizable image repeated in all
the video frames, and two simple sine wave sounds in the two audio
channels. Both PAL and NTSC and many aspect ratios are supported. The
generated MPEG-2 file is suitable for direct DVD authoring with dvdauthor,
without the need for reencoding. ffmpeg is required.

Changes: This release adds the ability to specify multiple images and
colors to be concatenated to an MPEG, more commandline options for output
customization, and simple help.

for fetchmail. It retrieves email (either all messages, or only unread

About: Graphical certification authority is an interface for managing RSA
keys and certificates, and the creation and signing of PKCS#10 requests.
It uses the OpenSSL library and a Berkeley DB for key and certificate
storage. It supports importing and exporting keys and PEM DER PKCS8
certificates, signing and revoking of PEM DER PKCS12, and the selection
of x509v3 extensions. A tree view of certificates is presented.

Changes: The application was ported to the new API of Qt4 and the database
format was changed. CRL settings can be changed, and the x509v3 extension
input dialog is more user-friendly. PKCS#10 requests may also contain v3
extensions that can be inherited when signing them. The public-keys were
extended by DSA keys and they may be encrypted with different passwords in
the DB. There is now an export function to dump the whole database into a
directory tree for backup purposes or usage by OpenSSL on the command
line.

About: grzip is a high-performance file compressor based on
Burrows-Wheeler Transform, Schindler Transform, Move-To-Front, and
Weighted Frequency Counting. It uses the Block-Sorting Lossless Data
Compression Algorithm, which has received considerable attention in recent
years for both its simplicity and effectiveness. This implementation has a
compression rate of 2.234 bps on the Calgary Corpus (14 files) without
preprocessing filters. This is essentially an adaptation/extension of
GRZipII by Ilya Grebnov.

Changes: The grzip package now includes additional scripts such as grzcat,
grzless, and grzdiff. Other minor corrections and enhancements have been
made.

About: Haserl is a small CGI program that parses POST and GET data from
Web clients and provides a PHP-like syntax for writing dynamic Web
content. A Unix shell is used for the scripting language. It is intended
for environments where something like PHP is too big, and compiles to
around 20KB.

Changes: Lua information has been added to the man page. ]] in a string no
longer causes a syntax error. Evaluation uses ; instead of \n, so
linenumber in error reporting should be closer to the original line
number. The option --accept-all has been fixed (was --Accept-all). A debug
message when unlinking uploaded files has been removed. Error reports now
include the name of the script.

About: The Heirloom Documentation Tools provide troff, nroff, and related
utilities to format manual pages and other documents for output on
terminals and printers. They are portable and enhanced versions of the
respective OpenSolaris utilities, which descend from ditroff and the
historical Unix troff. troff provides advanced typographical features such
as kerning, tracking, and hanging characters. It can access PostScript Type
1, OpenType, and TrueType fonts directly. Internationalized hyphenation,
international paper sizes, and UTF-8 input are supported.

Changes: A "\J" escape sequence has been introduced to specify a default
line breaking penalty in paragraph-at-once adjustment mode; this is useful
to discourage "troff" or "nroff" from breaking a line within a formula or a
person's name. A manual page for "dpost" has been added. Some minor issues
have been fixed.
