[001] - AC3D 6.1.07
  by Inivis (http://freshmeat.net/users/acolebourne/)
  Wed, Mar 7th 2007 05:42

Multimedia :: Graphics :: 3D Modeling
Multimedia :: Graphics :: 3D Rendering
Scientific/Engineering :: Visualization

About: AC3D is a well established, fully featured 3D modeling package. It
features an easy to use interface, powerful polygon and vertex editing, a
UV mapper, 2D/3D text, and subdivision surfaces. It supports many 3D file
formats.

Changes: Problems with the Lightwave (LWO) import/export on Mac and Linux
have been fixed. For Mac OS X users, because of a bug in OS X 10.4.8,
there is an AC3D fix that bypasses system dialogs and replaces them with
alternate popup windows. The Texture coordinate editor has a new rotation
control for detailed angle input rotations of the selection.

[006] - Cairo 1.4.0
  by Moritz Barsnick (http://freshmeat.net/users/barsnick/)
  Wed, Mar 7th 2007 05:33

Software Development :: Libraries

About: Cairo is a vector graphics library with cross-device output
support. It currently supports the X Window System and in-memory image
buffers as output targets. It is designed to produce identical output on
all output media while taking advantage of display hardware acceleration
when available (eg. through the X Render Extension). It provides a
stateful user-level API with capabilities similar to the PDF 1.4 imaging
model and provides operations including stroking and filling Bezier cubic
splines, transforming and compositing translucent images, and antialiased
text  rendering.

Changes: Enormous performance improvements were made for many operations.
PDF output was greatly improved, providing better compatibility and a more
compact encoding. The API was enhanced, mainly for better querying of
information. An experimental OS/2 backend was added. Many bugs were fixed.
Documentation was updated and expanded.

[007] - Codestriker 1.9.3

  Wed, Mar 7th 2007 19:16

Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Dynamic Content :: CGI Tools/Libraries
Software Development
Software Development :: Bug Tracking

About: Codestriker is a Web application that supports online code reviews.
Traditional document reviews are supported, as well as reviewing diffs
generated by an SCM (Source Code Management) system and plain unidiff
patches. There are integration points with CVS, Subversion, Clearcase,
Perforce, Visual SourceSafe, and Bugzilla. There is a plug-in architecture
for supporting other SCMs and issue tracking systems. It minimizes paper
work, ensures that issues, comments, and decisions are recorded in a
database, and provides a comfortable workspace for actually performing
code inspections. An optional highly-configurable metrics subsystem allows
you to record code inspection metrics as a part of your process.

Changes: The project list screen now displays, for each project, the total
number of open topics and the total number of topics. Clicking on the count
will go to the topic list screen with the relevant topics displayed. The
VSS repository handler has been modified so that topics can be created by
labels or version numbers in the start and end tag fields. The URI filter
in the Template Toolkit changed its behaviour in 2.16, which was
responsible for generating invalid links. This has now been fixed. There
is better handling of Subversion diffs that were generated on non-English
systems.

agnostic and makes very little assumptions about what are you trying to
do, allowing a great freedom to create any game type.

Changes: In this experimental release, all of the code was refactored. It
is not yet compatible with any of the released games. UDP support was
removed and TCP now uses the NIO library. Everything is now more
efficient. JavaDoc was written for most of the code. Game development was
simplified. RPEvent, hidden objects, and static attributes were added.
RPZone stores storable objects into the database. Account and character
entities were split.

news is that VCD-db now supports Oracle, and the fetch classes can use
CURL for grabbing content from remote servers. Other updates are that the
fetch classes have been updated to reflect the updates on the source
sites, like IMDB and Yahoo movies. Using a proxy server for fetching is

enterprise messaging and collaboration (email, group calendar, contacts,
etc). It features a browser-based AJAX client with search, shared
calendar, and mail that is integrated with contacts and calendar, and
support for Outlook, iCal, Mail.app, contacts, and offline mode.
Administrators benefit from online move, back-up, and recovery of
individual or groups of mailboxes, compatibility with existing LDAP
directories., native hierarchical storage management and clustering, Web
services integration with existing enterprise applications, and integrated
anti-spam and anti-virus.

Changes: This release fixes a number of bugs in 4.5.2. The impact of one
bug was that incoming 8-bit messages could be permanently corrupted when
they enter the ZCS. This has impacted several customers outside the United
States and customers anywhere receiving mail from people outside the United
States. This major bug existed only in 4.5.2 and is fixed in 4.5.3. The
periodic issues with the Web client failing to load in IE7 are believed to
have been fixed.
