About: Cobbler is a command line tool for configuring provisioning and
update servers. It supports provisioning via PXE, virtualization (Xen),
and re-provisioning an existing Linux system ("auto-kickstarting") when
having a PXE environment isn't possible. The latter two features are
enabled by usage of koan (a client side provisioning application) on the
remote system. Update server features include yum mirroring over rsync://
and integration of those mirrors with kickstart. Cobbler is easy to use
and has an accompanying Python API. It supports RHEL4+, Fedora Core 5+,
and derivative distributions.
Changes: This release more tightly integrates yum repository management by
integrating support for yum reposync (http://, ftp://, and limited support
for RHN channels) and better tying kickstart generation in with repository
management. For yum-powered distributions, the cobbler server can now act
as an automatic mirror for core package content in addition to
extras/updates. This release addresses a few bugs related to syslog status
logging and repository management.

is written in pure C and utilizes threads. It aims to be very fast, with a

will make your logs cleaner. Silent mode is now switched on so it is

About: Sendmail is a Mail Transfer Agent, which is the program that moves
mail from one machine to another. Sendmail implements a general
internetwork mail routing facility, featuring aliasing and forwarding,
automatic routing to network gateways, and flexible configuration.
Changes: If a milter rejected a recipient, the MTA still kept it in its
list of recipients, and delivered to it if the transaction was accepted.
The new DaemonPortOptions that begin with a lower case character can now
be set.

About: Simple Groupware is a complete groupware package. Unlike other
groupwares, Simple Groupware contains a new programming language called
sgsML, which was created to quickly create powerful Web applications.
Changes: The session handling was improved to allow more than one

About: Talend Open Studio is an ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tool.
Talend Open Studio can perform jobs that range from datawarehouse feeding
to database synchronization, as well as file format transformations. Its
graphical interface is made with Eclipse RCP, and data related scripts are
generated in Perl. The application was designed to be extended with
components written by users.
Changes: The ability to sort data through the external sort program was
added, using less memory. Database output components in Perl generation
can create a table if it does not already exist. CRC calculation on data
rows was added in Perl generation. Database transaction support was added.
DB2 and SQL Server support was added in Java generation. Oracle bulk load
was added in Java generation. POP support was added in Java generation.
Web services support was added in Java generation.
