About: The Big Faceless Report Generator is a Java application for
converting source documents written in XML to PDF. Built on top of the Big
Faceless PDF & Graph Libraries, the Report Generator combines these
features and wraps an XML parser around them. Using JSP, ASP, XSL, or
similar, creating dynamic PDF documents directly from a database is now as
easy as HTML.
Changes: The "background-macro" is now always drawn behind headers and

About: CharEntry is a tool for inserting non-ASCII characters into text,
with particular emphasis on linguistic notation. It provides charts of the
consonants, vowels, and diacritics of the International Phonetic Alphabet
as well as a chart of precomposed accented characters. Clicking on a
character inserts it into a text region, the contents of which may be
saved to a file or copied and pasted elsewhere. A widget for inserting
characters by Unicode codepoint is also provided. Furthermore, it is
possible to read the definition of a custom character chart from a file.

About: Computation Job Management (jobman) is a program that calls
executables according to a given program flow. Each executable is run in a
separate process. It is useful when a project needs to carry out a series
of calculations that are performed by software written in different

Dynamically linked executables use less disk space and memory, but
require appropriative dynamic libraries present in order to run. ELF
statifier make one executable file with no run-time dependencies from a
dynamically linked executable and all its libraries. This file can be

About: Flickcurl is a C library for calling the Flickr Web service API. It
handles the API signing, token management, and parameter encoding and
decoding, resulting in C functions for the Web services APIs. It uses
libcurl to call the REST Web service and libxml2 to manipulate the XML
responses. The main focus is the read API and especially getting photo and
tag information out. It provides utilities such as "flickcurl" to exercise
the API and "triplr" to get RDF metadata descriptions out of photos, tags,
and machine tags.
Changes: The Flickr upload photos API, the comments API, photoset comments

About: GEQUEL is a GTK/C based frontend for the popular MySQL database
engine. It was loosely derived from an old program by the same author
(xsqlmenu). It can retrieve data from MySQL databases, present them in
nice browsers, and allows for update, delete, insert, search, query, and
copy operations.
Changes: The query routines were fixed for GTK+ 2.0 bu using GtktextView
instead of Gtktext. A query button must be used instead of Ctrl-Enter as
the latter doesn't work for GtktextView under GTK+ 2. A bug in error
reporting when MySQL didn't complete successfully was fixed. Clicking a
Tab now executes some actions to update its contents. Previously you had
to click a button first.

About: The Guarded Memory Move tool is useful for studying buffer
overflows and catching them together with a "good" stack image. It uses
dynamic function call interception to catch the most common functions
that are used by attackers to exploit stack buffers. It uses the
LD_PRELOAD capability, and, on discovering an exploit, will produce a
core dump with the necessary information to debug the exploit and fix the
software.
Changes: GCC's __builtin_return_address and __builtin_frame_address seems
to return garbage instead of NULL at the last frame. This release fixes
the problem.

enhancements. All 3rd-party libraries were removed from the sourcetree.

the codec registry and more convenient processing of audio and video data.
Libquicktime comes with original utility programs and additional tools,

About: TreeLine is used to organize and store text data in a tree
structure. It is well suited to keeping track of many different types of
information. Each node of the tree can contain several defined fields,
forming a mini-database. The format of each node can be defined, and the
output can be shown on the screen, printed, or exported to HTML. The tree
structure is navigated and edited in the left pane of the window, while
various views of the child data are shown and editable in the right pane.
The data is stored in XML text files. TreeLine is based on the PyQt
library.
Changes: The data output view can optionally show indented output from all

About: Video Contact Sheet *NIX (vcs for short) is a script that creates a
contact sheet (preview) from videos by taking still captures distributed
over the length of the video. The output image contains useful information
on the video such as codecs, file size, screen size, frame rate, and
length. It requires mplayer, ImageMagick (convert and montage), bc, and
ffmpeg.
Changes: Aspect ratio support (with -a) was added. Note that it breaks the
usage of --shoehorn for resizing the video, which is totally intended
anyway. Temporary files are now put in temporary locations, which should
help with some filesystems. Support for per-dir and system-wide
configuration files was added. All of them are loaded if they exist, in
order (system-wide, user local, current dir), each one overriding the
previous if necessary. The number of vidcaps output is now finally
correct.

About: ZoneAdmin is a Web interface for the powerDNS name server using the
MySQL backend. It allows you to manage existing zones and add, remove, and
alter new ones, supports on-the-fly input validation, and allows comments

to remove them completely. New zones can use templates that contain
predefined records. It is designed to be used with one of Apache's
authentication methods.
