moderator, and speaker will not be restricted by the limit on the number

About: aoeui is a lightweight unobtrusive text editor optimized for the
Dvorak keyboard layout. It interacts easily with the rich text processing
environment around it.
Changes: Rewritten tab completion (works for words now, and is gleaned
from open files as well as pathnames) and code alignment. Better colors in
xterms. Regex searches and captures to registers. The man page and keyboard
diagram are now on the home page. Also, somewhat less ugly colors are used
in xterms.

About: The aim of auch is to visualize harmonics in musical recordings.
Many tools show the spectrum, but this tool focuses on one or two specific
octaves with an indication of the tonica (the key) and sub-dominant(IV) and
dominant(V). It also supports wavelet transformation and resampling to
further analyze and clean-up the recording. This way, notes, chords, and
harmonics in a musical piece become more clear. Another feature is that
this tool can compare outgoing audio (from a .wav file) with incoming
audio (microphone). This way, the effect of external filters can be
tested.
Changes: The 'spiral' display type is designed to visualize rhythm in
music. If it is correctly tuned, beats show up as upward pointing spikes
while off-beats as down-pointing spikes. The basic idea is to use
reflection of impulses. Regulary repeated pulses will add up to a strong
and steady pulse, unlike irregular pulses who are weaker and move.

About: Avahi is a framework for Multicast DNS Service Discovery
(mDNS/DNS-SD a.k.a. Zeroconf) on Linux. It allows programs to publish and

About: Boxtream is both an audio and video encoder and streamer and an
assembly of audio and video hardware, forming a mobile video streaming
studio. It is designed to easily record and stream live presentations
including a presenter and synchronized slides, or slides only, or
presenter only, and was built to stream live courses over the Internet for
distance learning students. It supports and autodetects several brands and
models of video switchers. It can be entirely controlled remotely over
XML-RPC, and includes an X11 interface built with wxWidgets. By default,
it supports five different streaming and recording scenarios. The software
can still be used without most of the hardware included in the original
boxtream project.
Changes: The threading model and remotely accessible API were simplified.
The commands launched at the beginning and ending of a recording are now
launched asynchronously. Screenshots were removed from the development and
distribution trees to create much smaller tarballs, and were uploaded to
the Web site instead. Several minor fixes and code changes were made. The
subversion repository is now available through Apache instead of through
svnserve. The bug tracker is now publicly accessible.

About: cgmail (check Gmail) is an email checker and notifier applet for
the GNOME desktop. It will periodically check your Gmail account and will
notify you of new incoming messages. It will use GNOME Keyring to store
your credentials for security enhancements instead of storing it in plain
text files. It uses a fresh DBUS notification to tell you that a new
message is into your Gmail inbox.
Changes: The status icon will display the incoming email count.
Notifications are cleaner, and include a button to open a browser to the
Gmail URL. An Italian translation has been added. Now only 5 email
subjects and senders will be shown on notifications to avoid to
overlapping the desktop area. The popup menu has a better menu positioning
method. An About dialog has been added.

About: Clonezilla is a partition or disk cloning tool similar to Symantec
Ghost. It saves and restores only blocks in use on the hard drive if the
file system is supported. For unsupported file systems, dd is used
instead. It has been used to clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10
minutes.
Changes: A helper program was added to make it easier to mount a device or
resource as an image home. Clonezilla is run only in the first console
(tty1) when logging in as casper instead of running
/etc/rc2.d/S99ocs-live-run. This allows other consoles (2-6) to be
available when clonezilla is running. Some modifications were done to
increase security, and some minor bugs were fixed.

About: unicap is a library to access different kinds of capture devices.
Device drivers are loaded with a plugin system so that new drivers can be
easily added. Currently, it has support for video-4-linux,

provides GTK widgets for live video display and access to device
properties.
Changes: A bug that caused unicap not to enumerate all video4linux devices
sometimes was fixed.

have been fixed where printers got confused when printing to non-default
printer, and where it was possible to Receipt to an invalid account.
Receipt now checks for 0 value errors. Support has been added for the
voiding of incorrect Receipts. Owner VAT Number support has been added.

About: VideoLAN Client (VLC) is a media player, streamer, and encoder for
Unix, Windows, Mac OS X, BeOS, QNX, and PocketPC. It can play most audio
and video codecs (MPEG 1/2/4, DivX, WMV, Vorbis, AC3, AAC, etc.), has
support for VCD, SVCD, and DVD (with menus), and can read or dump streams
from a network source (HTTP, UDP, DVB, MMS, etc.). It can also act as a
server and send streams through the network, with optional support for
audio and video transcoding.
Changes: This release fixes demuxers (including CVE-2007-0256), the Mac OS
X interface (especially issues related to fullscreen), VP31 decoding on

About: Web Service Engine for MySQL is a storage engine for the MySQL
database. It takes basic SQL and translates this through the engine
interface into HTTP request methods. This gives you the ability to create,
read, and delete pages on Web servers. Wikipedia becomes a table you can
select on from your database.
Changes: Support for UPDATE and DELETE was added. Range queries are now
supported. ORDER BY operations now work. This release was timed to the
release of mod_methods to make testing the engine easier.

shell commands under X. After a little configuration, it can start many
commands with the keyboard (e.g. control+alt+x starts an xterm) or with
the mouse buttons.

documentation about the Guile/Scheme configuration file (the preferred way
for non-trivial configuration, and far more powerful than the default
configuration file).

About: xine is a free multimedia player. It plays back CDs, DVDs, and
VCDs. It also decodes multimedia files like AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP3 from
local disk drives, and displays multimedia streamed over the Internet. It
interprets many of the most common multimedia formats available--and some
of the most uncommon formats, too. All those features come in a reusable
library (xine-lib) which can easily be embedded in your applications.
Changes: Several problems with CD audio and DVD playback, introduced in
the previous release, were fixed. Several memory leaks, notably in the DVB

About: XMLUnit for Java provides two JUnit extension classes, XMLAssert
and XMLTestCase, and a set of supporting classes (e.g. Diff, DetailedDiff,
Transform, SimpleXpathEngine, Validator, and NodeTest) that allow
assertions to be made about the differences between two pieces of XML, the
outcome of transforming a piece of XML using XSLT, the evaluation of an
XPath expression on a piece of XML, the validity of a piece of XML, or
individual nodes in a piece of XML that are exposed by DOM Traversal.
XMLUnit for Java can also treat HTML content (even badly-formed HTML) as
valid XML to allow these assertions to be made about the content of Web
pages.
Changes: This version fixes all known issues of version 1.0 and adds a few
new features. The most important changes are support for XML Namespace in
XPath tests, support for XML Schema validation, and support for the JAXP
1.3 XPath engine in javax.xml.xpath. In addition several minor but useful
enhancements have been made.
